lookahead planner / your afternoon, in order

Privacy policy

Your plan stays yours.

What Look Ahead Planner stores, where it goes, and what it never does. Last updated October 28, 2026.

The short version

What Look Ahead Planner stores on your device

When you add assignments, paste them from Google Classroom, or change your routine, Look Ahead Planner saves them in your browser’s local storage. This includes assignment titles, subjects, due dates, estimated minutes, completion status, and the times and lengths you set for school, sports, meals, breaks, and bedtime.

Unless you sign in and sync (see “Accounts and sync”), that data stays on the device and browser you used. It does not appear on other devices and is not available to the developer. Clearing this site's browser data removes saved planner data. “Reset sample data” replaces assignments and routine with examples. In a private window, saved data is normally discarded when the private session ends.

Pasting from Google Classroom

If you paste text from Classroom, Look Ahead Planner reads it inside your browser to find assignment names, courses, and due dates. The pasted text is not sent anywhere. Look Ahead Planner does not open or read the documents attached to assignments.

The iPhone app

The sideloaded iPhone app stores its planner inside the app rather than Safari. It works offline and does not include Google sign-in. Its data does not sync with the website. Removing the app can remove its saved planner data. The only thing the app sends over the internet is feedback you choose to submit (see “Feedback”).

Optional Google sign-in on the website

You can choose to sign in with Google so Look Ahead Planner can import your assignments automatically. If you do:

You can remove Look Ahead Planner’s access at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.

Accounts and sync

You can use Look Ahead Planner without an account. If you create one, we store:

This data is stored in a Cloudflare database and is used only to run your account and keep your devices in sync. It is not sold or used for advertising. Accounts are for people 13 and older, or for a parent or guardian creating an account for a younger student.

You can sign out at any time. “Delete my account” in the Account tab removes your account, sessions, and synced plan from our servers. Data saved in your browser stays until you clear it. If your subscription ends, you keep your plan on this device and your synced copy remains readable until you delete the account, but new changes stop syncing.

Payments

The website offers paid monthly plans that include sync, starting at $2.99 a month. Checkout and billing are run by Stripe, which collects your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive only your subscription status and customer ID, not your card number. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You can cancel or update billing from “Manage billing” in the Account tab. Payments for the iPhone app are not available yet.

Feedback

If you send feedback, we store your message, the optional email address you add if you want a reply, whether it came from the website or the app, the app version, whether it is a bug report (a bug report also stores your screen size and device or browser type, and whether it was sent by shaking your phone), and a one-way hash of your IP address that is used only to limit spam. The hash cannot be turned back into your address. Feedback is read only to improve the planner and to reply to you, is not sold or used for advertising, and can be deleted if you ask (see Contact). Please don’t put passwords or other private details in a message.

Referrals

Signed-in members get a personal referral link. If someone creates an account through your link, we record that your account referred theirs so we can give you a reward when they buy a plan. We do not show either person the other’s email address. Referral records are deleted with either account.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on the home page, we store your email address, the optional name you add, and a one-way hash of your IP address that is used only to limit spam. We use your email only to tell you when Look Ahead Planner opens, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising. Ask us to remove you at any time (see Contact) and we will delete it.

Bot protection

Creating an account or signing in uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated bots. Turnstile may process information such as your IP address and browser details under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. It is not used for advertising.

What the website server sees

Look Ahead Planner is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare processes ordinary request information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Look Ahead Planner uses this only for running the site. Ordinary request information is not combined with your planner data. Fonts are hosted by Look Ahead Planner itself, so loading them does not contact a font service.

Children and students

Look Ahead Planner is made for students of many ages. Without an account, planner data stays in your browser and Look Ahead Planner does not collect personal information from students on its servers. With an account, it stores the information described under “Accounts and sync”, and only for people 13 and older or accounts created by a parent or guardian. If a parent, guardian, or school has questions, they can ask the developer to explain anything on this page.

Look Ahead Planner is not connected to any school records system. It does not access Genesis or any student information system.
